A few questions

I don’t usually do these things, but Frank tagged me, so I guess I should oblige.

Truly- there’s a lot to talk about, but my head doesn’t work. It’s better than no entry at all.

1. What did you do in the past year that you hadn’t done before?

Changed wheels on skates, done a t-stop, been a penalty box mistress

Shot a model shoot

Worked in town

 

2. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No- all the kiddies in my life are getting older. A few other people we know have bred- but I’d prefer not to be around babies ATM

 

3. Did anyone close to you die?
I lost the last of my grandparents- my mum’s dad. It’s been the hardest loss of all, he taught me so much

4. Did you travel? Where did you go? Best holiday memory?
Japan- it was brilliant. So many memories, sharing it wiht students made it so much easier to see it so simply. I think the temple were what touched me most. 

 

5. Best thing you bought?
My DSLR


6. Where did most of your money go?
Clothes, toys, books, camera stuff- the usual things.

 

7. What do you wish you had done more of?

Persevered with my health, stopped to enjoy the simplicities of life


8. What do you wish you had done less of?

Made excuses

 

9. What kept you sane?

My husband, one of us is usually sane- so we balance each other out.


10. What drove you mad?

Work- always, I miss it, I love it, but I wish there was less of it. 

And maybe my own lack of organisation

 

11. What made you celebrate?

being 33 1/3


12. What made you sad?

Knowing that things change….

 

13. How was your birthday this year?

Sad, stressful. So I left it for four month and had a not birthday.

 

14. What is your primary goal for coming year?

To have little achievable goals.


15. Were you in love last year?

Yes


16. What would you like to have right now that you didn’t have the year before?
A child

 

17. What date from your last birthday will be etched in your memory and why?

I’m never good with dates anymore….

 

18. What skill would you like to acquire?

Being able to follow through on my fabulous and ambitious ideas


19. Compared to this time last year are you happier?

I think so….


20. Biggest achievement this year?

Getting a teaching job out of the classroom

 

21. Biggest disappointment this year?

That I’ll have to go back to the classroom

 

22. What is the one thing that would have made you more satisfied?

Time and contentment

 

23. Best new person you met this year?

Some of the skating girls, but most were more than a year ago

 

24. A valuable life lesson you learnt this year?

People will let you down, and not to take it personally.

 

This is a cool way to put your year in perspective. May even give you food for thought.
